Our Little Toddlers Room caters for children from 15 months to 2 ½ years of age with an active program incorporating both planned and spontaneous activities.
In this age group we are encouraging social skills and some independence through self help skills. The toddler curriculum areas include a strong focus on practical life, sensorial and language.
Our Junior Kindy Room caters for children from 2 to 3 years of age and focuses on fun and educational programs that contain activities and experiences to encourage further independence, the use of verbal communication and appropriate social skills.
We encourage our junior kindy children to learn by doing and to incorporate a sense of learning and accomplishment into their everyday tasks and activities.
Mathematical concepts are introduced to the children using concrete sensorial materials and cultural activities help develop an awareness and appreciation of the world around them.
Our Kindy Garden Room caters for children from 3 to 5 years of age and incorporates the Queensland Government approved Kindergarten Program.
In this room children further develop their independence, confidence and skills through programs that are based on their individual interests, strengths and needs. The curriculum incorporates all learning areas – practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics and cultural.
The classroom is designed to enable children to have the freedom to choose the activities and materials they wish to work with, and to progress at their own pace and rhythm, according to their individual capabilities.
In this room there is a strong focus on learning about nature and how to care for the environment, positive social development, empathy and friendship.
Outside play is an important part of every child’s day. It gives children the chance to explore the natural environment and have adventures.
Our playground gives children the opportunity for physical activities like running, jumping, climbing, digging, swinging and sliding.
We are transforming out outdoor space to include a stronger focus on the natural environment and sustainability and have now established garden beds for growing our own herbs and vegetables.
With help and input from children and parents, we will continue to improve our playground over time.
